Acceptance of Minutes of Last Meeting – Accepted

Chairman Dave Owen met with Will Halletts parents and they would like the under 16 sportsmanship trophy renamed in memory of him – committee agreed. A round of applause will take place prior to the U16 Cup final. There was a proposal to change the date of the AGM to the 5th July - TBC League equality policy Nothing to report Respect Programme Nothing to report Standard Charter Status Plan to be completed with supporting documents and resent to Sussex FA. All progressing well. Thank you to Richard Smallwood for all his work on the rules and Dave Wellbelove for the work he has done with regards to the Standard Charter Status. Pitches Dave Owen met with the Council regarding state of pitches and they stated that they haven’t seen them so wet. The Council thanked HDYFL for advising teams not to train on the pitches. Steve Dedman made a suggestion to shrink the boxing club pitch to prevent waterlogging. Steve to email Dave Owen in this regard who will forward to the Council for their consideration.

Registration Secretary Dave Owen to look at the registration rule with Richard Smallwood. It has been suggested that the cut-off date for Clubs should be the 5th August and card collection date should be 23rd Aug 2018 – TBC. HDYFL are awaiting confirmation from Sussex with regards to deleting photos on the WGS Off line consent is to continue.

League Welfare Officer Club Welfare Officer Information Evening - 6th June 2018. Hilary Kidd and Richard Smallwood will also attend. Clubs to be advised to use a respect line as this has been shown to improve player/spectator behaviour.

Referee Secretary From Steve Dedman Futsal competition for next season Various venues were considered. Decision from League is to wait for the Holbrook to confirm their plans and to aim for a January 2019. Steve Dedman to book two Saturdays in January. Age groups to be decided. From Hilary A referee was reminded by Surrey that he should wear black kit at all times. A referee reported bad behaviour from a Manager and a spectator. Hilary Kidd to email the offending club’s Secretary. Hilary Kidd emailed referees regarding the new Sin Bin ruling which will be compulsory in the season 2019/2020. The referees will need extra training, County FA to provide with our assistance.

Fixtures The Fixture Secretary has done really well getting all the games programmed. It was decided that any game that does not affect the division will not be scheduled by the League.

Mini Soccer Finals should be played on the 28th April at Ashington. Marc Oratis noted that the new Horsham ground will have 3G pitches. The League are in discussion with them presently.

Fines One fine challenge was considered. League to notify Club of the outcome. Press secretary All presenters have accepted, as per last year for the Cup Finals Weekend. They are Ian Morris, Kay Price, Margaret Laker, John Price, Dave Wellbelove and The King Family. SCFA County Member Dave Wellbelove attended the U21 Challenge Cup Final involving Horsham YMCA which involved several ex HDYFL players. They all acquitted themselves very well.
