Take a look at this exciting conference on representation of diversity in the media, which also happens to be the topic of my Master's thesis (more or less). I look forward to presenting my thesis here in Rotterdam on 10-11 June 2024! 🎞 🌍

I am very pleased to have presented my Master's thesis at the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) DMM-IIC Conference a few weeks ago. It was a pleasure to have shared some insights from my research, and it was also wonderful of have met many inspiring scholars in the field of media studies and intercultural communication studies.

Last week, I was given the opportunity to present a guest lecture about Namibia's media system for the BA1 course Media Systems in Comparative Perspectives. Not only did I learn a lot about Namibia and its unique media system, but it was also wonderful to be able to share it with students of the International Bachelor of Communication and Media (IBCoM) at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC), Erasmus University Rotterdam. #mediastudies #namibia #africanmedia

It is incredible to see what my brother, Deane Spall, and his business partner, Jean-Daniel Goblet, are doing for sustainable urban agriculture in Windhoek. I look forward to seeing where Urban Harvest will go next!

It has been a whirlwind of a year, and I am proud to have completed my Master's degree in Media in Creative Industries at Erasmus University Rotterdam! The courses in this programme have been incredibly engaging, and I am certain I will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to a wide variety of potential career options. For now, I am pleased that I will be staying in the wonderful city of Rotterdam, where I will start working full-time as a Junior Lecturer at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC). After just over three years, my work at Prosperity Group of Companies will come to an end. It is a bittersweet ending, as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the company and I have been privileged to work with an amazing team. I am grateful that they have been supportive of me and that the company has accommodated me throughout my studies by letting me work remotely. I am looking forward to what this new chapter will have in store for me, both in a professional and personal capacity! #masters #juniorlecturer #mediastudies
