In 2021, I made the transition from poetry to content writing, where I initially believed that having a specific niche, particularly in health and wellness, was the key to my success. I felt that straying from this niche would hinder my writing abilities. However, everything changed in April 2022 when I joined Trybe City as a content writer intern. During this internship, I was consistently tasked with writing about various niches, including politics, movies, lifestyle, education, and business, which were far from my comfort zone of health and wellness. This challenge pushed me to the limits, sometimes requiring me to seek assistance from my writer friends for content ideas.Interestingly, I discovered that many of my fellow interns faced similar struggles. In a meeting with our team lead, a colleague raised a crucial question: "why were we assigned different niches, seemingly ignoring our individual strengths and preferences?"The team lead's response was enlightening. She explained that diversifying our writing niches wasn't an act of cruelty but a strategy to make us versatile writers. While specializing in a single niche can establish expertise and authority, exploring multiple niches can provide variety in our writing and unlock more opportunities. It enables us to adapt to changing market demands and appeal to a broader range of clients. My time at Trybe City taught me the importance of striking a balance between specialization and versatility in content writing. While having a niche is valuable, being adaptable and versatile can open up doors to a world of opportunities. It's about becoming an expert in your chosen field while also being ready to explore new horizons in your writing journey.I will never introduce myself to you as a content writer that specialize in health and wellness writing but as the content writer you have been searching for. I am your Darling FriendMaryam Nababa.#themarha #cccwtm #contentcreation #GWCC#gwtmc #creativecontentwriter #creativity

Hi friends, I’m back! It’s been almost two years since my last (re)post here. During this time, I graduated from college, traveled around a bit, read a ton of stuff, got into a master’s degree that I’m incredibly passionate about, and was able to finally go home and reunite with the cats … …So, Let me introduce myself again. In October 2022, I officially graduated from International Bachelor Communication and Media with a BA thesis awarded an 8/10 (top 30% of my year), and two essays that focus on #China’s media and politics during #COVID-19 pandemic awarded 8.4 and 8.7 respectively. I was honoured to spend this essential part of my intellectual life with such a diverse and inspiring group of people during such an unusual time. I could not be more grateful. In March 2023, I accepted the offer to join the Erasmus Mundus Master's in Journalism, Media and Globalisation. To become a writer is a dream I’ve had ever since I learned what writing was. During my IBCoM journey, I felt called to pursue journalism professionally, to become one of the many rational voicesthat inform global citizens.A month later, I applied for assistant editor for Bumingbai Podcast and got to work with Ms Li Yuan of the New York Times briefly. I learned the significance of being able to ask informed question that your audience cares and to understand what they needs to know. I think about this on a daily basis when I consume journalistic contents.Since later June this year, I have been living in China, where I was born and raised. Walking on its streets, seeing the busy, hard-working, but silenced and repressed ordinary people whose individual stories hardly get told fairly and publicly in the very country they live, I wanted to do something for them, to be their voice. And now, by the end of August I will be moving to Aarhus, Denmark to begin my EMJ journey at Aarhus University and Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole, to ready myself for an ever-changing globalised information world.I am actively #opentowork. If you or anyone you know is looking for skilled journalists, editorial assistant, or content writer with professional experiences, a working knowledge and local understanding of the current Chinese society, specifically its #informationcontrol, internet #censorship and the intertwining of media and #politics, please let me know! If you or anyone you know is working on projects that could use any of my help, don’t hesitate to contact me! I'll be seeing you in Aarhus 🛫

As someone who stumbled upon the world of copyediting by chance during my college days, my journey into this profession has been nothing short of serendipitous. I had the privilege to work closely with a seasoned chief editor of a publication affiliated with a renowned educational institution. It was there that I witnessed the intricate craftsmanship that goes into transforming raw manuscripts into polished works of art. The experience left an indelible mark on me, igniting my passion to assist storytellers in delivering their narratives with finesse.Ever since that internship, my fascination has led me to devour a myriad of resources aimed at honing my editing skills. Discover the Editor in You by Vivek Kumar and the team at the Indian Copyeditors Forum is the latest gem I've come across in this journey. This book is an exquisite amalgamation of scholarly insights, practical experiences, and invaluable guidelines on the art of copyediting. Its chapters, authored by industry experts, offer a comprehensive view of the multifaceted nature of copyediting, spanning academic, newspaper, fiction, and more. Kumar and his team have meticulously curated a treasure trove of wisdom, making this book a compelling resource for both budding and seasoned editors.I hope that Discover the Editor in You is just the beginning of a series showcasing the voices of industry experts from India. It fills a void in the literary world, shedding light on the often-underappreciated craft of copyediting. For those contemplating a career in this field or doubting the need for an editor when they can "correct their own grammar," I wholeheartedly recommend immersing yourself in the pages of this book. #copyediting #discovertheeditorinyou

Motivation and style💥Over the past two months, I've delved into the world of proofreading, encountering a diverse spectrum of writers. It's been fascinating to observe their motivations and approaches to the craft.Firstly, there are those who write with an undeniable passion. Their words flow effortlessly, and every sentence exudes their love for the written word. For them, writing is an art, a means to express their creativity, and the need for perfection in their work is palpable. On the other end of the spectrum are individuals who see writing as a job. They produce content efficiently and competently, but it's evident that their motivation is primarily rooted in the necessity of their occupation. Their focus is on delivering quality, but the emotional connection to their work might not be as strong.Lastly, there are those who seem to be in the realm of writing solely for certificates or accolades. Their intent revolves around the tangible rewards or recognition that come with the territory. While their work may meet the required standards, it often lacks the depth and passion that the first group of writers brings to the table. In the world of proofreading, these different motivations and writing styles offer a fascinating lens through which to view the intricate tapestry of the written word, reminding us that writing, like any art form, is driven by a spectrum of aspirations and dedication. #proofreading #internship #articles

Here’s a question out of sheer curiosity! 🤔For writers, do you think when we go about counting experience,Is it fair to only consider the length of time those words have been monetised, or also take into account the daily practice in the form of lots of “unpaid” work in terms of - blogs, social media experience for respective universities, write-ups for personal branding, internships, contributions to certain brands, research papers and academic writing, amount for something?#freelancer #freelancewriter #writing #researcher #monetiseskills

Also, I am working on my dissertation for my college. Here are some tips to improve your writing skills:1. Read 2-3 blogs daily to increase your vocabulary.2. Try to write at least 2 topics of your interest in a week. These 2 steps are very necessary to start your journey for content writing. Also, if you are looking for someone as a content writer.
